Washington County Docket Allocation
Washington County Local Rule LR88-AR01-9, effective January 1, 2026, changes how many case types are assigned. Superior Court receives all pro se civil matters, several listed criminal categories, many pro se small claims and eviction cases, all juvenile delinquency matters, and all guardianships. Circuit Court receives all adoptions, mental health matters, CHINS cases, paternity actions, infractions including vehicular infractions, hardship driver's license petitions, estates, mortgage foreclosures, and criminal actions not designated for Superior Court.
